The Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base is a moisturizer and primer in one and currently Bobbi Brown's bestselling moisturizer. It is vegan, oil-free, and infused with vitamins B, C and E. It also has a mild pleasant scent from grapefruit and geranium. I received this cream from Bobbi Brown via Octoly, and it has made its way to a top 3 primer.
As someone who aims to simplify her routine but still use all the essentials, Face Base came in handy. This cream provides two steps in one, and just as I have come to expect from Bobbi brown products, the brand did not skimp on quality on either the moisturizer end or the primer end.
The cream is soft, more on the thicker side, and sinks into my skin beautifully without any trailing residue. It is quite luxurious, and given that I only need a tiny bit, I feel that this cream will last for a few months at least.
Now, is it worth $64? If you are someone who is used to purchasing moisturizers $25+, and primers of a similar cost, I'd say it is absolutely worth it. You might even end up saving money. However if you fall into any of these categories, this cream may not be worth the purchase:
You use makeup more than three times a week: If you use makeup frequently during the week, you may want to purchase a more inexpensive primer as you may use this too quickly to justify $64.
You are maximalist and enjoy as many skincare steps as possible: If this is you, you may not like the idea of a 2-in-1. I have noticed, though, that many maximalists enjoy luxurious products, so perhaps this would still be right up your alley.
You have very oily skin: Though this product is an oil-free formula, it is still on the heavier side. I find it excellent for my combination/dry skin but someone with oilier skin may find this too heavy for them. Do I think you should still give it a go? Yes. It will ultimately come down to personal preference.
You have tried Bobbi Brown products and are not a fan (how could you not be, though?): If this is you, you may want to skip this. Although this is not exactly like their hydrating face cream, I would not be surprised if both formulas share similarities.

Good to know: While Face Base is great for all makeup users out there, it is a surprisingly good option for the occasional makeup user. The shelf life is 24 months after opening, so you have a long time to slowly finish it up.
