Merit Beauty is the luxury vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand that has artfully crafted the perfect tools to enhance your natural beauty. I had admired them from afar for so long that I must admit I screamed when I saw their email in my inbox. Call it the universe aligning in my favour, but I finally had a chance to try them out myself and see if the hype were real.
The hype is most assuredly real!
Merit makeup products sit comfortably on my skin, are extremely breathable, and last throughout a 10-hour workday. This is why I continuously reach for them; they are as close to skincare as makeup can ever be! I created the look on the right in under 5 minutes. I first primed my skin with the Bobbi Brown Face Base, which is both a moisturizer and primer, and then I went in with the Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick (shade: amber) using their Blush No. 1 blending brush. The Day Glow Highlighting Balm (shade: bounce) came next, followed by the Brow 1980 voluminizing Pomade (shade: brown) and Clean Lash Lengthening Mascara. Finally, I tied up my look with the Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil (shade: sangria).
